BigBunny Electronic Bingo: Software Draws, Daubs and PAGCOR's Class
Electronic bingo is bingo where software runs the number draw and marks the cards.
Key facts and contents
- BigBunny Bingo Patterns
- Common bingo patterns on a 5x5 card: a single line (5 squares), four corners (4), the letter X (9), postage stamp (4) and full house or blackout (all 25).
- BigBunny
- To play bingo: choose a card, learn the winning pattern, follow the numbers as they are drawn, mark the matches and call the win when the pattern is complete.
Electronic bingo is bingo in which software draws the numbers and marks the cards, so the round runs without a caller or a pen. For Filipino players it is also a named class of game on PAGCOR’s own pages. This page explains how it works, how it differs from paper bingo and what PAGCOR says about it. It sits inside the wider set of bingo games compared on the pillar page.
How electronic bingo works
A program replaces the caller and the dauber. It draws each number from the full set, marks the matching square on every card in the round and checks the card against the announced pattern.
- The round opens with a pattern and a set of cards.
- The software draws numbers one at a time, each only once.
- Cards are marked automatically, or you mark them yourself if the game allows it.
- The software checks the pattern and ends the round when a card completes it.
The patterns themselves are the standard ones, listed with their square counts in the table of bingo patterns. The five-step round in how to play bingo applies unchanged, except that steps three to five are done for you.
Electronic bingo games and e bingo games
Electronic bingo games and e bingo games are two names for the same thing: any bingo game where the draw and the daub are done by software. The name changes with the venue and the screen, not with the rules.
| Name you may see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Electronic bingo games | Bingo with a software draw and automatic marking |
| E bingo games | The short form of the same term |
| eBingo | PAGCOR’s spelling in its list of game offerings |
| Online bingo | Any bingo played on a screen |
When you open a bingo game in a lobby, its info screen shows whether the card is marked for you and which layout it uses.
What PAGCOR says about electronic bingo
PAGCOR’s Electronic Gaming Licensing Department (EGLD) is the regulatory arm over local gaming operations other than land-based casinos. Its page says EGLD issues a Gaming License for each of these game offerings:
- Traditional Bingo Games
- Electronic Bingo (E-Bingo) Games
- Electronic (eCasino) Games
- Sports Betting
- Specialty Games
- Online Poker Games
- Numeric Games
So Electronic Bingo (eBingo) Games is one of the offerings the department issues a Gaming License for, a separate line from Traditional Bingo Games. The same page publishes lists you can open yourself, including a List of EGLD-Approved Electronic Games by vendor. Read PAGCOR’s page directly for the wording and the lists.
Bingo in the BigBunny lobby
The BigBunny lobby has a Bingo lane, one of seven, with YB, JILI and JDB named as its studios. Open a game in that lane and read its info screen to see how the draw and the marking work for that game. Players must be 21 or older, and a spend limit set before the first card keeps a fast, automatic game from running ahead of your budget.

How does PAGCOR class electronic bingo?
PAGCOR's Electronic Gaming Licensing Department lists Electronic Bingo (eBingo) Games as one of the game offerings it issues a Gaming License for, next to Traditional Bingo Games, Electronic (eCasino) Games, Sports Betting, Specialty Games, Online Poker Games and Numeric Games.
Is electronic bingo the same as online bingo?
Not always. Online bingo is any bingo played on a screen. Electronic bingo is the form where software handles the draw and the marking, and it can be played in a venue or on a phone.
